Student Achievement Goals
Each year, TVCC captures achievement measures from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) Almanac Data, Accountability System, Legislative Budget Board (LBB) measures, and Perkins V indicators. These are compiled into Fiscal Year (FY) reports.
The Texas Fiscal Year runs from September 01 of a calendar year through August 31 of the next calendar year. For example, FY 2023 ran from September 01, 2022, through August 31, 2023. This corresponds with Academic Year (AY) 2022, which began with the Fall 2022 semester, and concluded with the Summer 2023 semester. So, AY 2022 corresponds with FY 2023.
The report covers 21 different measures, including % employed/enrolled (Academic, Technical), completion rates (3,4,6 year; full time, part-time students), Career and Technical Education award rate (State target, actual; TVCC actual, delta from State target), underprepared student TSI achievement rate, first College course completion rate (Math, Reading, Writing), Licensure and course completion rates, and Transfer rates. Some measures are one or more years behind the Fiscal Year.
