HESI A2
The Health Education Systems, Inc. Admission Assessment (HESI A2) is a computerized nursing entrance exam required for applying to the ADN, VN ,Surgical Technology, and ADN/Paramedic Transition programs at TVCC.
September 2026
TVCC will discontinue the HESI A2 assessment after August 2026. Beginning September 2026, the ATI TEAS will be the only entrance exam offered.

TVCC requires these percentages to pass:

Helpful Information

- The HESI A2 takes about 3 hours to complete. The maximum time allowed is 4 hours.
- TVCC requires 60 days between testing attempts and a maximum of 2 attempts per academic year.
- If you need to reschedule, it must be more than 24 hours before your appointment to avoid another exam fee.
- Once minimum scores are earned, they are valid for 5 years.
