Licensing

Licensure is obtained outside of the class.  Students will receive the training required to obtain the license. Students in these classes are responsible for testing for licensure outside of the classroom experience.

• Texas Nurse Aide (CNA)
• Texas Medication Administration (CMA)
• Phlebotomy

For students in this course who may have a criminal background, please be advised that the background could keep you from being licensed by the State of Texas.  If you have a question about your background and licensure, please speak with your faculty member or the department chair. You also have the right to request a criminal history evaluation letter from the applicable licensing agency.

College Credit Award

An alternate way for adults to earn college credit.

Occupational Skills Awards (OSA)

Occupational Skills Awards (OSA) are a sequence of approved courses individually transcripted and designed to provide entry-level employment skills in an abbreviated timeframe. Adult and Continuing Education offers mirrored courses for OSAs.

Capstone Class

A Capstone Class assesses all of the skills that are learned in that program. For example, a major project, such as a research paper, thesis, or portfolio, to demonstrate your mastery of knowledge and skills acquired throughout your studies.
