What’s the old saying—how do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice. Trinity Valley Community College is making an update to that saying. How do you get to Carnegie Hall? By being a Cardinal.
The TVCC Cardinal Singers have been invited to perform this summer at Carnegie Hall in New York City, one of the world’s most prestigious performance venues. During the concert, the Cardinal Singers will premiere two works: Stabat Mater by Marc-Andre Bougie and the world premiere of Te Deum by Terre Johnson. The ensemble will take the stage on May 25, performing on the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, the hall’s main stage.
“This is an incredible opportunity for our students and for our college,” said Dr. Kristin Huggins, Division Chair of Fine Arts and Kinesiology and Director of Choral Music. “For every performer, the dream is to perform on a stage like Carnegie Hall, and we are so blessed to be invited and to bring these pieces to life.”
Tickets for the performance will be available for purchase after February 25 and can be accessed at www.midamerica-music.com/tickets.
