TVCC Dance Department Exclusively for members of the renowned Cardettes dance team, our Dance Department offers a specialized academic and performance program leading to an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts with a Dance emphasis. Students receive rigorous training alongside college-level coursework to support their artistic and career goals.

Led by Head Coach and faculty member Emma Cox, with Assistant Coach Carlie Birmingham, the program blends discipline, creativity, and the legacy of Cardette excellence. Dancers train in styles including ballet, jazz, tap, and performance through courses designed to build technique, choreography skills, and a deep understanding of dance as an art form.

With over 65 years of tradition, the Cardettes represent talent, teamwork, and sisterhood. Our academic program strengthens this legacy, preparing dancers for transfer to four-year institutions or entering professional careers.

Alumni have performed on NBA and NFL stages, on Broadway, and across the country as choreographers, instructors, and coaches. Through a balance of academic rigor and elite performance opportunities, every Cardette is equipped to thrive—on stage and beyond.
