The Visual Arts department strives to support all students regardless of background or experience. Classes are small and welcoming, with a goal of creating a safe space for students to explore the aesthetics of the world and their inner selves; a place of growth where they can take chances and build skills that will be transferred to the wider world of career and purpose.

The facilities include a 2-d studio, equipped with a variety of media for drawing, painting, design, and presentation, as well as a sculpture and ceramics lab. Each semester, studio classes construct a professional-level art show, which grants the opportunity to see the results of student learning and hard work. Students have also participated in outside shows, which can help them receive scholarships and build their portfolios for University transfer.
